AMEWS Association for Middle East Women's Studies

We are pleased to announce that a new issue of the Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies is now available online!

Volume 14:3 includes three original articles on the theme “Generations,” prefaced by Frances Hasso. The photograph featured on the issue’s cover relates to the first article, a reflection on memory, family and the archive co-authored by Munira Khayyat, Yasmine Khayyat and Rola Khayyat, which is freely available without a paywall. The other two articles by Delfina Serrano-Ruano and co-authored by L.L. Wynn & Angel M. Foster explore DNA testing in the Maghreb and fatwas about emergency contraception. Essays by Ellen Amster, Wilson Chacko Jacob, Ghiwa Sayegh and Yasmin Shafei cover reproductive technologies, writing about revolution and the “Feminism in Crisis” conference. Third Space contributions in this issue discuss feminist organizing, the environment, an art exhibition about motherhood and reproductive health, from several perspectives.
