Dana El-Sammak is a researcher, activist, and gender expert whose work focuses on queer and women's studies in the Middle East, particularly Lebanon. She holds an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies and a B.A. in English from the Lebanese American University. Her research explores the intersections of language, sexuality, and identity in Arab contexts through decolonial and feminist frameworks. Dana currently serves as the Interim Secretary of AMEWS and works as a Social Research and Gender Expert at COSPE, while also pursuing independent projects that center queer and feminist perspectives in the region.
